Journey through Springbank distillery with Melanie Stanger sampling some fantastic drams.

Melanie’s first foray in the world of whisky began 20 years ago working as a tour guide at Glengoyne Distillery during her student holidays. On completing her degree she was accepted into the J & A Mitchell family as assistant manager of the world famous Campbeltown Cadenhead Whisky Shop.  After her time on the shop floor she made the transition to Springbank, where she was given the responsibility of overseeing UK sales and distribution as well as taking responsibility for multiple European Markets and then Worldwide markets. Her roles at the distillery include market visits and product development.  

Melanie lives in the wee toon (Campbeltown) with a view of the distillery from her house meaning she is never far away from the sights, sounds and smells of the the distillery! In her spare time Melanie is an avid tennis player and unwinds with regular pilates classes.
