GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival showcases the heavily sherried style that GlenDronach is well-known for. Discontinued by GlenDronach in 2015 citing a lack of maturing stocks, this re-released Revival is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.

    Sherry Bomb

Initially, I thought this whisky was over rated. However having allowed it to breath a bit, I have noticed that it does open up quite considerably. It does indeed have a rich mouth feel, that certainly has a strong sherry taste. It develops slowly, and challenges you to think carefully about the flavours. The finish I'd say is medium with a hint of spice. It was a recommend by Jeremy Siers (on youtube) so I thought I'd give it a try, and I have not been disappointed. Next time i'll try a cask strength version.
