Tayport Distillery's Wild Rose Gin is entirely distilled, bottled, labelled and waxed in Scotland. The base for this Gin uses malted barley from Scottish farmers and provides a smooth and refined texture to the spirit giving the Gin a unique character.
All botanicals are sustainably sourced with the main flavour profile being foraged ourselves from the banks of the Tay River. Tayport Distillery are pleased to have the support of a local forager in developing our Gin as well as a collaboration with Tasso Neofitos, sous-chef of The Newport Restaurant, who helped the ditillery to locate its Wild Rose and identify botanicals around the East Coast of Scotland.
Distillery Location
Tayport - Wild Rose Gin's home is Tayport distillery, in Scotland.Founded by Kecia McDougall, the story of Tayport Distillery began in the apple orchards of Ohio before continuing in the berry fields of Fife. Inspired by a combination of the tales of old Ohian moonshiners and today's micro-distillers, Kecia took the plunge to create a Scottish twist on a traditional European drink known as Eau de Vie. Tayport Distillery is located on the outskirts of the Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve and the new spirit is created using fruits and grains that come from the surrounding areas in Fife. The 'grain to glass' spirits are made in small batches, with no added sugars - any sweetness comes naturally from the fruits.
