Inside the Royal Brackla Tokaji Cask Edition

Distilled on 12th July 2000, this Royal Brackla release represents the delicate art of cask finishing. Initially aged in a refill puncheon, the whisky underwent an additional maturation phase in a Tokaji white wine cask from 12th August 2021. This final stage was meticulously overseen by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod, who carefully timed the transfer to ensure the cask imparted its desired influence without overwhelming the spirit's signature profile.

Cask finishing is a refined process that enhances a whisky’s natural character by introducing complementary flavours. In this case, the Tokaji cask has elevated Royal Brackla’s inherent elegance, resulting in a whisky that is both complex and harmonious. Bottled at 53.3% ABV, only 258 bottles of this limited edition are available.

The tasting experience reveals a sweet and floral bouquet, brimming with ripe peaches and apricots, alongside soft, aromatic fruity notes. A truly exquisite dram, it offers a perfect balance of refinement and indulgence.
