This Glen Grant single malt was distilled on 15th of October 1959 and and matured in a first-fill Sherry butt (cask no. #3665), before being bottled by independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail on the 2nd of November 2022 at a cask strength of 56.5%.

This exceptional series is a tribute to the legacy of 'Mr George' Urquhart. 'Mr George' was a pioneer in the whisky industry, working in the whisky business from 1933. He created Gordon & MacPhail's iconic Connoissuers Choice range which feature a range of single malt whiskies, showing innovation in a time when most whisky was used to make blends.

This third bottling in the series represents ‘the father of single malt’ and his legacy. Mr George travelled widely, keen to showcase single malts from distilleries all over Scotland, matured in his own casks. This exceptional whisky is a fitting tribute to his pioneering spirit.
